Amboseli National Park is home to an abundance of mammals and over 400 species of birds. A game drive through these lush grassy plains may entail
close encounters with herds of elephants, wildebeest, a pride of lions or the solitary cheetah.
Next, onto Ol Pejeta, the largest rhino conservancy in East Africa. Positioned at the foothills of snow-capped Mount Kenya, this area provides an excellent
opportunity for viewing the 'big five'.
Onto the Masai Mara, renowned for the most awe-inspiring game viewing in the world. Make this trip extra special by adding a balloon safari (optional extra). This
exhilarating experience commences at dawn, with approximately one hour in the air, followed by a bush breakfast complete with a glass of 'bubbly'.

Accommodation and the order of days may vary slightly depending on availability.
Meet at the Somak Safari Lounge. Drive to Amboseli Porini Camp (160 km), arriving before lunch. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Masai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro. Night game drive and return to camp.
After an early breakfast, drive through the bush on a private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. After a picnic lunch, return to Porini Camp later in the afternoon. In the evening enjoy a game drive in Selenkay Conservancy, stopping for a sundowner at a scenic viewpoint, followed by a night game drive to look for nocturnal animals such as aardvarks, serval cats, caracals, bat-eared foxes, African wild cats and other species. Return to camp.
After an early breakfast, drive through Amboseli Park to the airstrip for your light aircraft flight to Nanyuki via Wilson Airport, Nairobi (change of plane). Met at the airstrip and transferred to Porini Rhino Camp, located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, in the foothills of Mount Kenya. After lunch and afternoon tea in camp enjoy a game drive in the camp's 4x4 safari vehicle. Return to Porini Rhino Camp.
Full day in Ol Pejeta with game drives and walking activities from camp.
Fly by light aircraft from Nanyuki to Masai Mara (approx 1 hour 15 minutes). Met and transferred to Porini Lion Camp. After lunch and afternoon tea enjoy a game drive or escorted walk followed by a sundowner and night drive with spotlight. Return to Porini Lion Camp.
Optional early morning balloon flight over the Mara (payable in advance). A full day game viewing in the Masai Mara including a picnic lunch. A sundowner and night game drive.
Fly by light aircraft to Nairobi (approx 1 hour) and continue with your onward travel arrangement.
Light aircraft baggage allowance - 15 kg. Children aged 8 and below are not permitted on this safari.
All three Porini Camps are based on full board basis including soft drinks, beer, house wine, gin & tonic, mineral water, day & night shared game drives in open sided 4x4 safari vehicle with qualified guide, sundowners and walks with Maasai warriors. Optional Mara Ballooning or exclusive use of vehicle on game drives available (payable in advance). Extend your holiday to one of the hotels on the Kenyan Coast of Mombasa or to one of the fabulous Zanzibar beach hotels, for a relaxing end to this safari.
