Opening it's doors in 1962, Muthu Keekorok Lodge was the first property in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. It sits in an enviable position, surrounded by over 700 square miles of abundant, sun-kissed plains. Its location is ideally situated, lying in the direct path of the awesome animal migration, that sees over a million wildebeest and zebra make their way through the plains directly before the lodge's guests. Morning and evening game drives are a must for anyone visiting the reserve.
The Lodge offers a wealth of gourmet options. Haute Cuisine creations are available in the main restaurant, or you can enjoy traditional African dishes in the Hippo Bar, overlooking the lake and the eponymous basking hippos. The more adventurous can venture to the Elephant Deck, which provides a good setting for a bush dinner experience.
