After breakfast, transferred to the airport for your flight to Bagdogra. On arrival drive to Sourenee. This place has an old world charm and offers a panoramic vista of mountains, tea bushes, valleys and streams. Darjeeling, a famous resort since the British era, is nestled at over 2000 metres above sea level in the heart of the tea plantations. Overnight: Sourenee Tea Estate.
Today embark on an excursion aboard the 'Toy Train' or little blue train, manufactured in England in the late 19th century; the cars are still pulled by steam locomotives. Visit the Ghoom Monastery. Also visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute. Walk in the zoo park which houses tigers, bears, panthers, leopards and the famous red pandas. Travel up the hill of the observatory crowning the city and enjoy the sunset. Also visit the monastery Bhutia Basti. Overnight: Sourenee Tea Estate.
Visit the tea estate and factory, followed by tea tasting. Later depart by road to Pemayangtse and visit the monastery. Unlike other monasteries, Pemayangtse Monastery was meant only for ta-sang' lamas or pure monks. They were defined by Lhatsun Chenpo as being of pure Tibetan race, celibate and without any physical handicap. Overnight: Mount Pandim.
After breakfast travel by road to Gangtok and rest of the day is at leisure at your hotel. Wreathed in clouds, Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim is located on a ridge at a height of 5500 feet. Visit the Enchey Monastery, built on the site of the hermitage of a tantric master of the 18th century. Visit the Institute of Tibetology. Walk through the local market of Gangtok. Overnight: Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino.
After breakfast, depart for Kalimpong en route visit the magnificent Rumtek Monastery, the largest in Sikkim and seat of the Karmapa, the spiritual leader. Kalimpong is a multi-cultural society and one of the most picturesque destinations in the Eastern Himalayas. Overnight: Sinclairs Retreat, Kalimpong.
Visit the Monastery of Durpin Dara, and a remarkable incubator housing more than 1,500 varieties of cactus which have surprising shapes and flowers. Overnight: Sinclairs Retreat, Kalimpong.
After breakfast, transfer by road to Bagdogra airport to board your flight to Delhi. On arrival transfer to your hotel.
