Situated on the banks of the Mbagathi River on the southern border of Nairobi National Park, Ololo Safari Lodge offers the comforts of home and superb service.
Although the lodge is only a 45-minute drive through the park from Nairobi airport, its secluded location belies the fact that it is in a capital city. It is set in a working 20-acre farm which means it offers wonderfully fresh produce which in turn means delicious meals. Wildlife is right on the doorstep and you can enjoy breathtaking views over the national park, to the Ngong Hills with a sundowner in hand. You may wish to cool down and relax in the pool, enjoy a safari into the park, take a tour of the Ololo Farm, or perhaps one of the numerous excursions available in Nairobi.
An assortment of room types cater for a variety of needs. The spacious Terrace Suite has a living area with armchairs and an open fireplace, a marble bathroom with a roll-top bath and a private terrace. The Tower Room is located in a stone-clad tower with a balcony and a private rooftop terrace with extensive views across the park. Three tented cottages provide guests with a bush experience, sleeping under a traditional makuti thatch roof, with canvas and stone walls. These safari-style king-sized rooms are nestled amongst the gardens and have private terraces that overlook the park. Seven Stable Rooms have en suite bathrooms and small pergola covered terraces at the front of the building. The terraces overlook the gardens, with its abundant birdlife. The Stable Cottage is a three-bedroom cottage featuring modern, light-filled interiors and sleeps a maximum of six guests, and has two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a large outdoor terrace. The cottage is perfect for families, groups, or extended stays.
