Overlooking Lake Ndutu in attractive acacia woodland surrounded by the short grass plains of the south eastern Serengeti.

During the rains, the lodge is at the very centre of the famous wildebeest migration, accompanied by thousands of gazelles, zebras and many predators. Birdlife is prolific and more than 400 species have been recorded.

Location

The lodge is situated near the boundary of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and the Serengeti National Park. Seronera is in the centre of the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater is just an 80 km drive away. Ndutu lies at the head of the world famous Olduvai Gorge, where fossils of early hominids were found. In the distance, dormant volcanoes form the mighty backdrop of the Ngorongoro Highlands.
