Little Chem Chem, the sister property of Chem Chem Lodge, is situated on the edge of an acacia forest. The camp is surrounded by the characteristic landscape of the Tarangire River with its impressive baobab trees and overlooks the freshwater lake, Lake Burunge.
The Babati mountain range offers a magnificent backdrop to the southwest, with the distant hills of Tarangire visible to the northeast. The wildlife and birdlife in the private concession is superb. The atmosphere at Little Chem Chem is welcoming, elegant and relaxed and a perfect setting from which to explore Africa.
There are 6 beautifully decorated tents, including 1 family tent, each with a large bedroom with either king-sized or twin beds, with a rocking chair and study desk, a vanity area with dressing room and an en suite bathroom with a shower and toilet. Each room has a fan and a safe. Embracing an 'Out-of-Africa' atmosphere each tent also offers a private firepit with flames that mesmerise you as the sounds of an African night come to life all around to you.
1.5 hours from Arusha Airport and 1.5 hours from Manyara Airstrip. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required at the lodge.
