In Tarangire, the third largest national park in Tanzania, immense baobab and acacia trees and mixed woodland punctuate the plains, whilst the Tarangire River and shrinking lagoons attract a variety of wildlife, including a large elephant population. A rich birdlife, including a variety of raptors, also enjoy the fruits of Tarangire.
The World Heritage site of Ngorongoro is a world-class attraction for visitors to Tanzania. The collapsed volcano has created a crater which offers superb game viewing. Wildebeest, buffaloes, gazelles, elephants, rhinos and Africa's big cats all make their home in the crater.
The Serengeti, one of the most famous game parks in the world, hosts a large population of lions, cheetahs and leopards as well as a plethora of other animals. It is also, along with the Masai Mara in Kenya, famed for the great migration, when each year thousands of wildebeest and zebras make an epic journey in search of lush, grassy plains.

Met on arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport and transferred to your lodge in time for a late lunch (approximately 215 km). Enjoy a late afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park.
After breakfast travel to Lake Manyara National Park where you will enjoy game viewing and a picnic lunch. Depart for Karatu and check in to your lodge for the night. (Approximately 120 km).
After breakfast travel to the Serengeti National Park, with a picnic lunch, through the Ngorongoro Highlands and via the Olduvai Museum (approximately 165 km). Enjoy a game drive on the Serengeti plains, perhaps the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. These vast, seemingly unending plains are inhabited during the migration by enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra.
Today enjoy a full day game drive, with a picnic lunch to reveal more of the wealth of wildlife in this magnificent park. Alternate option for this day (extra payable in advance): Take an early morning balloon flight over the Serengeti followed by a 'bubbly' bush breakfast then enjoy a game drive, with a picnic lunch in the afternoon, followed by the rest of the day's game drive.
After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater with picnic lunch (approximately 165 km). Descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water.
After breakfast, drive to Arusha (approximately 155 km). Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before transferring to Kilimanjaro Airport for your onward journey.
