Kicheche Laikipia is an authentic bush camp which offers a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with attentive and accommodating staff.
There are five en suite tents and one spacious family suite with 2 bedrooms and en suite bathroom. The bedrooms are connected by a lounge furnished with a sofa and small table enabling private dining.
A small tented camp set in the heart of Ol Pejeta Conservancy in the shadow of Mount Kenya. The spacious, well-equipped tents offer an authentic safari experience in a peaceful location, with some of the best game viewing in Laikipia right on the doorstep. The Conservancy lies on the Equator 30 minutes' drive from Nanyuki airstrip and offers wonderful views of Mt Kenya. With 90,000 acres of wilderness, the Conservancy is home to Kenya's largest population of black rhino, large numbers of elephants, cheetah, lion, leopard, African wild dog and plenty of plains game. There are also a number of the rarer Northern species such as Grevys zebra, Jackson's hartebeest and Beisa oryx. There is an outstanding guiding team to look after you in the field. An extensive range of activities including: canoeing, horse riding, mountain biking and bush walks is available. The most delicious food, prepared daily using only the finest locally sourced fresh ingredients, is served in the dining tent, or al fresco under the African sky. You can also enjoy your favourite tipple whilst star gazing in this unpolluted idyll. The Camp is closed during April and May.
