Serengeti Simba Lodge is a small, intimate, owner-run property, located on top of a rocky outcrop affording stunning views over the endless plains in every direction.
The lodge was carefully built using local materials, always mindful of the environment and sustainability. Solar power supplies its energy when possible. It lies on the path of the great migration and it is possible to see the wildebeest, zebras and Thompson's gazelles as they make their way towards greener pastures, sometimes with hungry big cats in pursuit or crocodiles lurking at the river crossings. There are 15 uniquely designed permanent luxury rondavel rooms under canvas and thatch, and 6 rooms in the Stone House. All rooms have en suite bathroom with shower and flush toilet, solar energy and hot water, mosquito nets, safes and superb views to the Serengeti. The tented rondavels also have a bathtub, a very private outdoor stone shower with hot and cold water and a private deck.
