Tawi Lodge

Tawi Lodge is a serene oasis, located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. With just 13 beautiful cottages, it is situated on a private community conservancy of 6,000 acres in one of the richest game areas in Kenya, and is surrounded by breathtaking views. Unpretentious comfort allows for a restful stay as you explore the incomparable Amboseli ecosystem.

Tawi Lodge comprises beautiful cottages with décor inspired by African tradition and culture while delivering modern flair and guest comforts. The warm, friendly staff at this eco-friendly lodge take the best possible care of the environment and its guests.

The dining and bar area is the focal point at Tawi Lodge. Delicious meals, cooked with the finest locally sourced ingredients, are served alongside breathtaking views of Kilimanjaro and the wetlands where animals play and drink. Relax by the campfire before and after dinner with your beverage of choice at the bush bar beneath the magnificent African sky full of brightly shining stars, whilst recounting your day’s experiences.

Treat yourself to a variety of massages and beauty treatments on offer in the spa after your game drives, or cool down in the refreshing swimming pool. Activities include game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, night game drives, guided walks and bird watching.

ACCOMMODATION

The 13 beautiful cottages, which can accommodate up to 30 guests, all enjoy a spectacular view of Mount Kilimanjaro. The beds and baths are strategically placed to make the most of the views.

Each cottage opens onto its own wooden verandah and comes with an ensuite bathroom, a spacious hanging cupboard and a large lockable wooden chest for storing valuables. Cottage 7 has wheelchair access. The double and twin cottages add a fireplace, a mini bar and a bathroom with both a bath and a shower.

A butler service looks after comfort and privacy throughout your stay. Solar power runs the water systems and lighting, and there’s a facility for charging cameras and phones.
